First day of E3 2017 – Electronic Arts

With the beginning of this year being marked with great releases, what does EA offers for the future?

On 2016, EA presented us Titanfall 2, Madden NFL 17, Mass Effect Andromeda, FIFA 17, EA Originals program, FE,  Battlefield 1 and a new action-adventure game, by Visceral, about an original narrative in the Star Wars universe with new characters and a game by Respawn Entertainment, that explores a different Star Wars era in their own third-person action-adventure game, these last two planned for 2018.


E3 2017 EA Press Conference began with a nice group of drummers with Madden NFL 18 shirts, delivering the mood for a trailer of the game first ever story mode called Longshot, similar to the one on FIFA 17 with Alex Hunter.

EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson entered the stage after, revealing the plans for the conference and event, talking about the company values and objectives. Wilson then passed the ball to DICE producer of Battlefield 1 Andrew Gulotta.E3_EA_Battlefield1_expansion1We were able to watch a sweet community video filled with youtubers footage and their crazy plays on Battlefield 1, learn about the upcoming expansion In the Name of the Tsar and its contents and watch the teaser trailer of the expansion that takes you to the biggest front of World War 1.

Patrick Söderlund, EVP at EA Worldwide Studios, entered the stage later to tease a new competitive Battlefield experience, that will be revealed at Gamescom in August and talk about competition and the desire to enlarge their tournaments with the biggest FIFA Championship ever planned for this Fall.

Right after, the FIFA 18 reveal trailer, that one fueled by Ronaldo, pops up.E3_EA_Fifa18Michael Davies and Roger Bennet, the hosts of Men In Blazers  jumps on to tackle on the gameplay, visuals and Alex Hunter! (There was even a reference to Peter Moore!)

The video with real life professionals talking about Alex Hunter was amazing, announcing the return of the player and the mode in FIFA 18. Should he stay or should he go?E3_EA_Need_for_speed_paybackYoutube content creator Jesse Wellens took the spotlight to talk about Need for Speed: Payback with Marcus Nilsson Executive Producer of the game.

The game will put you in a revenge mission in an action driving fantasy environment, with 3 different playable characters. A gameplay trailer was then revealed to the audience.E3_EA_A_way_outEA Originals were revealed last year with the presence of FE by Zoinc Games. This year Söderlund brought up A Way Out, a game being developed by Hazelight Studios, a studio founded by Josef Fares, writer and director of Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons, and he himself went on stage to talk about his new game.

A game that tries to push the boundaries on how to tell stories without compromising on gameplay. A Way Out will be splitscreen co-operative only, either local or online. E3_EA_SEED

Söderlund then comes to talk about EA’s new research division called SEED, or Search for Extraordinary Experiences Division.

Challenging themselves to push imagination into reality, enabling players to go anywhere, share their experiences and be anyone, this division might bring new gameplay changes in the future.E3_EA_AnthemA brand new IP from Bioware, called Anthem, was teased with a small trailer, with more to be revealed during the Microsoft conference.E3_EA_NBA_Live_18Sean O’Brien, Executive Producer of NBA Live 18, brought up the game he has been working on, demonstrating  some of the game with the help of Community Manager Stephen Gibbons and Creative Director Connor Dougan.

NBA Live 18 will be receiving a demo on PS4 and Xbox One on August, so you can try the game and the mode The One.

Wilson arrives once more to talk about the EA Play to Give program, giving the opportunity to players to try for free some games from the EA access and Origin access until the end of the week.

And so the moment arrived to learn more about Star Wars Battlefront II with Janina Gavankar, who plays Commander Iden Versio in the story mode of the game.E3_EA_Star_wars_battlefront_IIThe world premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer in a 20 vs 20 match called Assault on Theed took place right after a message from John Boyega, who plays Finn in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.
